This story has almost no comedic elements, so to be laughing your way through an entire episode of Painter of the Night is a rare and unusual treat. We’re usually sobbing along with Nakyum, or this season especially, enraged with Seungho.

Instead, we had a string of funny moments, and one blisteringly sexy one.

First, how anybody could have thought Nakyum was ‘quiet’, nah… He has always had his voice. Seungho came in like a hurricane and just tossed everything up in the air, but from the beginning he’s always used his voice.

So for him to be haranguing Seungho like the good wifey he is, it is the cutest thing. Cuter? Seungho just giving in to everything.

But this is Painter of the Night, so there must be drama, It’s a must.

The first tensest moment came when they actually found the calligrapher, and said artist made the grave mistake of calling Nakyum an ‘ignorant peasant’.

That’s Seungho’s ignorant peasant, so it’ll be Mr Peasant to you, swine. That’s a poke in an already sensitive spot for Seungho, the gross differences in their classes and their flaunting of the caste system. It’s a not too subtle dis to Seungho… and well, you know he doesn’t do well with that shit.When Nakyum just about wilts in the face of Seungho losing it and getting violent, and in an attempt to keep the peace, suggests quietly that they leave… taking the blame on himself for being so demanding, our Seungho boils down like ten lbs of spinach into an even cup. Simp… Simpin Seungho for the win. Take the win, Sir.

They agree to a compromise, the calligrapher earns double his regular price, and Seungho sits… like a puppy, because he’s the one who’s going to draw. And I don’t know how byeonduck did it, but Seungho’s naked wrist was the sexiest moment of this episode.

Me and Nakyum:

And he sits, patiently waiting for the calligrapher to call out his poem, whispering to a stunned and staring Nakyum, “What’s wrong?” And even this was funny…  I near passed out… the squee level of these last few episodes has me fitna pop the top of my head off like old fashioned Coke bottles. Pop… fizz.

I am certain, this is a look of stunned love on Nakyum’s face. He has it bad…

Because, Seungho controlling his temper… come through Papi. Come and get it!
The only sour moment is when oily, greasy, stank, dirty, foul Lord Min put in an appearance. And while I loathe the bitch, I thought Seungho’s handling of the situation too provoking, and because I know he’s a fucked up  psycho spawn from hell, nasty, and planning wickedness… that lizard ass smile of his did not feel good.

Ugh. Why can’t the world leave these two alone? Why, why, why?
