Painter of the Night returns post extended hiatus with an emotional payoff in it’s ninety-fifth episode, that hits you deep in the kokoro and your meow meow.
The panel of Seungho’s face melting with love literally set the Painter of the Night fandom on fire. We have never have we seen a panel like this in POTN. Never have we seen Yoon Seungho like this.
Little Nakyum… wth a few words, and his honest and pure giving, just stole away Seungho’s soul.
Ya’ll, this morning’s episode of POTN has my heart squeezing.
I think my favourite thing in this story to date is Seungho blushing and overwhelmed. I just love Seungho. Even the more for having just given into his love and waiting for Nakyum to catch up. I had to look away from the screen when his face melted on the bridge.I wanted to cry I was so happy for him… for them both! Seungho’s melting face, and clear emotions… Nakyum’s complete surrender and giving of himself. Addictive!
And later, he blushed over and over… when does this debauched and licentious man blush? For what? For who,? Just Nakyum. Only his baby..
And while we are all bracing for the season’s end, and what is clearly building up to a drama filled cliffhanger, it is clear they need to go through a fire now. Their love MUST be tested in order to be fireproof. Without a trial by fire, it’s just feelings.
As a writer, who has had people dribble hooked on my shit, believe me… there is a way you draw the story on, and she is doing it masterfully… there is not a single note for quality romance writing she hasn’t exquisitely touched upon in this story.
Believe me, there are three or four major beats left, and she’s setting them up to knock them out the park.
There will be hearts squeezing, loving, loving happiness at the end. Stop worrying.
Nakyum is a lion heart! Nakyum is a lion heart! Mark my words… you heard me say it. Nakyum is going to keep saving Seungho. From his enemies, his demons and his own worst impulses.
I need a moment to gather my thoughts, because at this point I’m a walking talking ball of emotion and need.
Error 404: No thoughts to be found. That was everything I could have hoped for and more. Seungho was me and I was him; completely bowled over and enraptured by the complete switch up by Na-Kyum.
He took the lead, and our hearts, devouring and begging to be consumed. Seungho’s expressions were tres magnifique, showing just how deeply he let those words and actions pierce him.
But here come Heena, determined to spoil this moment.
I could literally cry.
